LAHORE, 27 Jan 2023: Winter Sports Festival 2023 has started under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Musarat Jabeen inaugurated.
A colorful opening ceremony was held in the gymnasium hall.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Musrat Jabin and DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi unveiled the trophy, the players sang the national anthem.
Players also took oath. Cultural color made the opening ceremony exciting, high officials and a large number of players participated.
More than 300 athletes from across Punjab are participating in athletics, football, badminton, table tennis, boxing and judo competitions in winter sports festival.
The three-day winter sports festival 2023 under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab started on Friday, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Musrat Jabin inaugurated the festival, the colorful opening ceremony was held in the gymnasium hall of Nishtar Park Sports Complex, all 10 divisions of Punjab. The position holder players of the 73rd Punjab Games 2022 while marching past saluted the special guest, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, Musrat Jabin, the players took oath, the national anthem was also read on this occasion, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab. Musrat Jabin and DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi unveiled the trophy, the cultural color made the opening ceremony exciting. Deputy Director Admin Tariq Vito, all Divisional Sports Officers of Punjab, Assistant Directors Zahoor Ahmed, Muhammad Sajid, Zareena Waqar, Shaista Qaiser, District Sports Officer Tanveer Shah, Senior Coach Rais Rehman, Administrator Gymnasium Hall Mustafa Shah and players. A large number participated, more than 300 athletes and officials from across Punjab are participating in athletics, football, badminton, table tennis, boxing and judo competitions in the Winter Sports Festival 2023. The Winter Sports Festival 2023 will end on January 29.
