LAHORE, 18th May 2023: Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz visited Crescent Higher Secondary School to witness various sports camps of the school on Thursday.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan, Assistant Director M Sajid, School Principal and other officials were also present on this occasion. Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz was warmly received by a large number of students upon reaching the school.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz witnessed different sports camps of boys and girls including basketball, chess, table tennis, swimming, tennis and judo etc during his visit. He also distributed cricket bats, balls, hockey sticks and footballs among students and played lawn tennis and table tennis with young players on this occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that sports played an important role in bringing discipline and healthy trends in our daily life. Holding several sports events at school level is a welcome sign. “The sports culture can be promoted across the province in true sense by developing sports trends properly at school level,” he added.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz further said that an integrated system of sports at the school level is the best step for the mental and physical growth of children. “We are planning to organize a talent hunt program at the school level in Punjab soon. I myself started participating in sports activities at the school level,” he added.
